Privacy Policy
If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address and language. The app uses your location to show prayer times, the Qibla and local weather. We also save your app preferences, such as Quran bookmarks and progress.
Agency accounts
Agencies that join give us their business name, owner name, contact details, country and cities, licence and registration numbers, office address and verification documents (business registration, licence, owner ID and office photo). Documents are stored privately. Only the agency and the UmrahConnect team can open them, and only to verify the agency.
Payments
Card and PayPal payments are handled by PayPal, and in-app purchases by Apple or Google; Paystack will handle card, bank transfer, USSD and OPay payments when it is available. We never see or store your card number. They tell us the plan, the amount and whether the payment went through. For OPay or MyNita transfers you give us a transaction reference (and optionally a receipt), which we use only to match your payment.
How we use your information
To run the app and the Agent Zone, verify agencies, process payments, and send account emails such as application received, verification, payment receipts and renewal reminders. When a pilgrim taps Call, WhatsApp or Email on an agency, we record that a contact happened (not the message) so the agency can see how many pilgrims reached them.
Services we use
Supabase stores our data and logins. Resend sends our emails. PayPal processes card payments. Google and Apple handle sign-in if you choose them. Hotel, flight and eSIM links open our partners' websites, which have their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Sign in with Google or Apple
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email, and Google may share your profile picture. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
Location data
We use your location only to calculate prayer times, the Qibla and local weather. We do not store or share your location history.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in the app or at myumrahconnect.com/account/delete. This removes your account, agency profile, documents and receipts, and stops any monthly PayPal payment. We may keep payment records where the law requires it.
